One of the first herbs to be found in the forests and especially on river banks is wild garlic – a true messenger of spring. From March to June, it is quite easy to spot it. The intense scent of garlic reveals its location.
All kinds of dishes can be refined with wild garlic. It is especially popular in curd cheese or cream cheese as a spread. We also like to use it in soup, pesto, herb salt, and herb butter. But wild garlic can do so more. It’s a natural medicine that helps with stomach aches, insomnia, dental problems and high cholesterol and it is also said to have antibiotic effects and to be a great remedy for colds.
