A tribute to grapes

Mark 15 and 16 October 2022 in your calendar: Meran will once again host the popular Grape Festival!

Grapes and nothing but grapes, from dawn to dusk. Countless hours in the vineyards in scorching sun and heat. Tasting young wine for the very first time. Some experiences are just too incredible to explain. They deserve to be celebrated. In Meran, not only winegrowers know this, but also the locals. That’s why, every year in October, the city’s streets are filled with cheerful celebrations – since 1886. Experience authentic South Tyrolean customs at the Grape Festival and let yourself be carried away by the joy of the successful grape harvest. The festival begins on Saturday, 15 October 2022 and culminates on Sunday, 16 October 2022 at the Vinschgau Gate. Here, at 2.15 p.m., the traditional parade starts with lavishly decorated floats, countless music bands, local associations, and folk dance groups from all over South Tyrol.
