Lymphatic drainage:
gentle support for your health
How rhythmic hand movements help restore balance
It was an observation on the French Riviera that laid the foundations for one of the gentlest therapies in modern healthcare. In the 1930s, the Danish physiotherapist Dr Emil Vodder noticed that many of his patients had swollen lymph nodes in the neck. Contrary to the medical thinking of the time, he began treating the affected areas with careful, circular movements — with remarkable results. In 1936, he presented his method publicly for the first time in Paris. Over the decades that followed, lymphatic drainage was further developed and studied, and today it is firmly established in both physiotherapy and wellness rituals.
