Acupressure
Acupressure is an old Chinese art of healing, whereby special energy points of the body are stimulated through the touch of the fingers. Acupressure works in a similar way to acupuncture, but has the advantage that it can be implemented by the person themselves, without the help of others. Of course acupressure does not replace a doctor’s visit, but, by treating the right energy points, pain can be soothed and energies activated.Aerobics
Dynamic movement training to trendy and rhythmic music in a group. Improves stamina, tightens your skin and activates your musculature.Ampoule Treatment
Intensive care for the regeneration and improvement of the facial skin texture. After an intensive facial cleaning, highly concentrated active agents are massaged into the skin by means of a special massage technique. Three to five treatments are necessary in order to obtain optimal results.Anti Aging
This term stands for working against the aging process. Anti Aging is a scientific discipline, which has been practised in the USA for years and years. The aim of this method is to positively influence the biological aging process and the overall condition of your body and spirit. The average life expectancy is to be increased through a healthy life style and through timely precaution.Proper anti aging therapies always begin with a comprehensive diagnosis: How fit and/or healthy are you? Which illnesses are known in your family? How is your life style, e.g. job, leisure time, social contacts, etc? Only after knowing the answers to these questions is it possible to determine which treatments and measurements are useful and necessary. Very important in this regard: a lot of movement, healthy nutrition and mental training.
Aqua Balancing
This is a massage method, where the person is not being massaged on the table, but in the water. The masseur needs to use less power and combines massage techniques with the motion processes of swimming dolphins.Aqua Gym
Aqua Gym is training on machines under water. The advantages of the “underwater studio” are: Water acts as a relaxing element and through the waters impetus, the exercises are easier than on ground. Furthermore, Aqua Gym is kind to your joints. All motions are carried out in a flowing manner, since water resistance prevents pulling and pushing. And: when you move in water you create flows, which act like massages and strengthen your connective tissue. Water pressure further improves blood circulation and blood pressure does not increase as much as during training on the ground.Aroma Therapy
Scents for well-being. Odours have a decisive impact on our overall state. Within the framework of aroma therapies, scents are used in order to achieve certain effects. Lemon grass, eucalyptus and lemon have an invigorating effect, while lavender, vanilla and violet provide relaxation.Autogenic Training

This exotic term comes from the old Indian language and stand for "Science of a long life". Ayurveda has been known from more than 3,000 years. Then, three basic energies, the so-called Doshas, determine what happens in our body. Vata (pronounced: “Waata“) regulates movement, breathing and the nerves' activity. Pitta regulates heat balance, metabolism and digestion, and Kapha (pronounced: “Kaffa”) is responsible for the liquid balance and the immune system. If these three Doshas are out of balance, humans become ill. The traditional Ayurveda theory is very varied and complicated, hence, the western world usually practices a very “soft” version, which consists primarily of massages, oil pours, sweat baths, meditation and a special diet. In that way, our energies shall be balanced out again. Ayurveda also helps combat tension, sleeping disorders, chronic aches, circulatory disorders and migraine. Those who suffer from acute illnesses or from heart problems should abstain from practising Ayurveda or consult their doctor prior to making a decision.Bach Flower Therapy
...has nothing to do with a river (Bach is the German word for river), but is named after the inventor of this therapy, the English homeopath Edward Bach. Bach’s theory is based upon the assumption, that feelings like fear, ambition, distrust and jealousy cause stress and even illnesses. Those who want to become or stay healthy, have to do something about these negative feelings with the help of flowers. Each of the 38 plants is assigned to a frame of mind, and each of them has a certain feature: Oak increases stamina, olive supports regeneration, chestnut supports the learning process and the wild rose stimulates the zest for life. An essence, enriched by alcohol, is produced from the flowers. These essences can be used as bath salts or taken drop by drop. Many people feel considerably better and more relaxed after a Bach flower treatment. These remedies are often also implemented with success as additional therapy.Balneo Therapy

The Caldarium is a gentle, but nevertheless effective relaxation and regeneration opportunity.Callanetics
Callanetics is a modern gymnastic method, which improves strength and mobility. This method needs no equipment, jumping or bouncing. This revolutionary gymnastic training is based upon exact positioning. Through tiny movements and as many repetitions as possible, especially the deep muscle layers are trained. During a Callanetics lesson we do not only work with all important muscle groups, but also with agonists and impulse centres, like the pelvic floor. Furthermore, great importance is given to the thorough stretching of the spinal column. This begins with a correct positioning of the feet and ends at the vertex point.Carbonic-Acid Bath

The ancient Chinese and Egyptians treated the sick with colours and in Egypt they even had colour temples. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe also engaged himself in how colours can affect the human psyche.During the course of a colour therapy, the body is either radiated with coloured light, or the patient takes a relaxing bath in a coloured room. Colour therapists assume that there are special body streams for light, through the stimulation of which energy is set free. This also corresponds to the thinking process of traditional Chinese medicine, where energy blockages are treated by means of acupuncture and acupressure. Colour therapy is based upon the proven psychological effect of colours. Red activates and stimulates; yellow relaxes, has a cheerful effect and improves the zest for life; green improves creativity and blue is supposed to accelerate the wound healing process and soothe pains. The coloured light penetrates the body through deep action lights and acts directly on the psyche and on the organs. This therapy is said to help against skin illnesses, small complaints of everyday life, pains and also psychological problems like depression.
Connective Tissue Massage
The connective tissue massage is a special type of reflex zone massage. This massage is based upon the assumption that illnesses of the inner organs and the musculoskeletal system, result in an imbalance of tensions and in a metabolic disorder of the subcutis. All tissue areas with changed tension or adhesion are irritated by means of a special technique, until reaching a balanced tension. During the course of the connective tissue massage, the patient feels a characteristic cutting feeling on all therapy-relevant areas. The irritation of the subcutaneous connective tissue results in a direct influence on the vegetative nervous system. The organs and their functions are influenced indirectly or reflectively. Apart from these general and reflective effects, also disorders of the musculoskeletal system are improved through this balance compensation.Detoxification

Depending on the composition, the medicinal water should regulate functions of the stomach, intestines, gall, liver, pancreas, kidney, bladder and ureters, and also have a positive effect in the case of illnesses of the respiratory tract and the bronchial tubes. By drinking on a regular basis, a normalisation of the organs’ function is achieved, and this effect also lasts after ending the drinking cure. One to two litres per day supports weight reduction and is also supposed to help with curing from alcohol and nicotine. Drinking cures are not suitable in the case of acute stomach ulcers, acute infectious illnesses of the digestive tract, cardiovascular weaknesses, possible oedemas, glaucoma, high blood pressure and serious kidney disorders.Electro Stimulation
Treatment by means of electrodes with gently stimulating currents or ultrasound. Has a soothing effect on illnesses like arthrosis, blood circulation disorders, sciatica, tennis elbow and periathritis.Ergometer Training
The aim of this training is the measurement of the body performance (ergometry), the breathing, the change in metabolism and the cardiovascular function. These values are measured with the help of bicycle ergometres or treadmills and thereby provide information on how the body reacts to certain strain conditions.Facial Masks
The reason for applying facial masks is primarily skin purification and also for providing the skin with important nutrients. The mask (e.g. seaweeds or black mud) should be applied to the face with a thickness of approx. one millimetre. Fango treatments are available as bath or packs, which are directly applied to aching body parts. Fango can maintain heat for an extremely long time and cools down only slowly. At the beginning the mud has a temperature of more than 40 degrees. This intensive heat relaxes, stimulates circulation and soothes pains. Fango also helps combat tension, arthrosis, osteoporosis, back aches, painful joints and rheumatism - therefore heat has a positive effect everywhere! Fango acts more intensively than mere heat cushions, since the minerals stimulate the body to form soothing substances. Fango is also helpful with skin disorders like psoriasis. Be careful if you have high blood pressure or heart disease.Fasting

Hereby the feet are massaged in order to stimulate certain organs and body parts. This massage is based upon the assumption that certain points on the feet are connected with the individual organs and body parts through reflex streams. During this treatment the patient lies on his back and the therapist scans the feet for problematic zones at first. Then the reflex zones, which are stressed most, are massaged. The Far Eastern theory believes that a disturbed energy flow causes sickness. This blockage can be loosened through the pressure on certain energy points, energy flows again and can therewith heal the body.Fresh Air

The chiropractor doctor G. Goodheart developed the Kinesiology method he sixties. Because of his observations, according to which physical and psychological processes in a human body are also reflected in the function of the muscles, he developed the so-called "muscle test” in 1964. Based upon various theses of traditional Chinese medicine, Kinesiology assumes that life energy flows through meridians. Congestion in vascular paths through illnesses etc. lead to a weakness in certain muscle groups, since the muscles are connected to the inner organs through the vascular paths. On the other hand, the organ can now also be healed through the strengthening of the corresponding musculature.Kneipp Treatment
The name comes from the inventor Priest Sebastian Kneipp. Many people only think of water wading or cold pours when talking about Kneipp, but in reality this treatment comprises a comprehensive and integral natural healing method, which consists of five components: Most renowned is the water therapy, which comprises walks in cold water, warm baths, pours, vapours and wrappings. Other components are the herbal applications, like hay baths, a movement therapy, a full and healthy nutrition and the order therapy for the soul. The Kneipp treatment is still applied almost unchanged - and with success. It acts against blood pressure which is either too high or too low, soothes pains, helps with heart and vascular illnesses and stimulates the blood circulation. The Kneipp treatments are however, also ideal for prevention and toughening up.La Stone Therapy
The La Stone Therapy was created by Mary Dolores Nelson, a medicinal masseuse from Tucson, USA and originates from Indian healing practises. This extraordinary method makes use of up to 40 warm lava stones of different sizes and consists in the distribution of these stones on the body’s various energy points. It loosens up the musculature, improves blood circulation and is very relaxing. A massage with these stony modelling tools rounds this ritual off. Hot basalt and ice-cold marble have a thermo-therapeutic effect and provide for relaxation and circulation. The use of stones has a long tradition. Many populations ascribe them as having a healing and protective effect. Besides the beneficial effect of heat and cold, which is also applied in fango or infrared therapies, also the spiritual touch has contributed to the fact that this massage has become one of the most renowned relaxation therapies.Laconium

The lymph collects metabolic products, bacteria and alien elements and therefore has a blood-purifying and excretion-transporting function. The lymph nodes produce lymphocytes and serve as a filter and defense channel in the lymphatic network. During the course of the lymph drainage, the lymph vessels are opened along the lymph streams through a gentle, integral, full-body massage. Toxic substances are taken away, swellings of the tissue can be reduced and the circulation is stimulated. This kind of treatment develops its soothing effect in particular after operations, haematomas and rheumatic illnesses.Meditation

Because of the high temperature binding of mud and the slow heat dissipation to the body, mud baths have a lasting heat effect with a deep impact. The heat penetrates deeply into the body and evaporates in a process, which can often be observed through the sweating afterwards. In contrast to a water bath, the missing water pressure of a mud bath favours an active substance and heat exchange. Mud baths and mud packs have a useful effect on all parts where heat supply is found as being soothing and healing.Night Candle Oil Bath

Special peeling muds, grainy pastes, sea salt or brushes are used for this purpose. In order to increase the effect, the body can be covered with peeling mud and a steam bath can be taken afterwards. Dampness makes the skin soft and the mud can be absorbed even better. Peeling provides for a soft skin and purifies the skin deeply, thus uncleanness disappears. Furthermore, creams and lotions can afterwards penetrate the skin better. A full-body peeling also stimulates circulation and fights cellulite.Qi Gong

The body is purified and cared for at the same time. At the beginning of the ritual, the entire body is rubbed in with various caring muds. Afterwards you enter the herbal haze room - the Rasul. Herbal steam streams out of an oven and heats the Rasul to approx. 38 degrees - the medicinal mud dries slightly onto the body. Then the ritual continues: the temperature in the Rasul gets increased to between 40-50 degrees through steam pushes and air humidity rises. The mud on the body gets damp again and can be massaged into the skin.

Thus, not only the body is strengthened, but also the thinking process is influenced in a positive way. Reiki is said to increase well-being, soothe pains, activate self-healing powers and thereby prevent and heal illnesses.
